Last Days of Summer

There is a sense of urgency at the beach.
Everyone soaking up every last minute of summer!

Last Days of Summer
16 x 20

I recently found this amazing watercolor in a book "The Arts of David Levine".
(Thanks to a recommendation from a follower!)
He is most well known for his social, political, and  literary caricatures
that appeared regularly in the New York Book Review
and The New York Times in the 60's and 70's.
However his paintings are just stunning!

This has inspired me to experiment with new compositions!

  1. Summer never happened here in Michigan, but it was nice sleeping weather at night.
