Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda

I did it again! 
This feels over worked and too literal,   

"Playground"
20 x 16 oil 

compared to my initial impression.   
(below).


I wish I had left it alone. 
Shoulda coulda woulda.

    I agree. The before is more whimsical which is what I like.

    I don't agree. The cleaned up version makes sense.The final painting is superior. It is your style and that is a winner

    I almost commented on that when I first saw it. I loved how complicated it was and yet it was recognizable as a playground. I loved the textures in the first attempt. Isn't it great that we get to learn what works in every painting we do?
